In this clip of Warrior Training, I’m going
to go over some of the conditioning drills that we use in Warrior Training. Now these
conditioning drills are not just for building up the body, but they’re use in the sports
specific to Kickboxing. Friends this first drill that we’re going to work on is a drill
that conditions the quadriceps and it’s called the Walking Lunge. Everyone is familiar with
Walking Lunges, but we’re actually going to do it for three minutes in Warrior Training.
One of the things you want to be careful of, is you want to bend that back knee down and
then step forward, this is the modified version, and then the next leg comes down. The real
way to do this drill is continuously so you develop that lactic acid and that tightness
in your thighs, so that you’re able to withstand leg kicks. So the real way is this way, continuously
for three minutes, sometimes five minutes and sometimes with weights. And what that
does is it builds up a lot of muscular endurance in your legs. So all of these different drills
are designed really to help your Kickboxing as oppose to like weight training and building
a beautiful body, these are sports specific drills.
