So moving on in the Tai Chi form. We’re still
within the Tai Chi beginning. The second motion is a peng energy off to the left-hand side
of the practitioner. So we’re coming out of here, the weight moves off to the right, and
the hands lift to the left.
So this is very simply – and the hands are not grabbing, they’re controlling the outside
of the arm here. Ideally, you want to keep yourself back and away from the opponent.
You want to keep tailbone tucked, you want to keep your chin tucked. And this works best
when the opponent is in close so actually, when we’re about right here the maximum control
can be exerted. So moving on from here, this is just one possibility for this movement,
but to follow up into this one we’d probably like do grasp and an arm bar of some kind
