I was going on like very random trips to like
stupid places because I did not want to be in my house because my house just reminded
me of this person. And then I got home and I actually had my
first vocal lesson with a new vocal coach and because I had been avoiding it for so
long, my vocal coach went, “So, what do you want?” I cried, hysterically for the whole hour. You know how my ex ended it? He said, “I still love you though”. No you don’t, you don’t love me. If you loved me you wouldn’t break my heart
like this. That’s the worst thing to say, don’t say that. I think that lyric came from not being able
to sleep at night. I was taking Melatonin to try to sleep, I
was waking up super early so I could sleep earlier and it wasn’t working. It doesn’t help when you’re in a tough situation
and you can’t sleep. The lyrics are actually why are you hitting
me now and somebody put online that it was why are you hating me now. It’s supposed to be like, why are you hitting
me up. I feel like when your ex reaches out to you,
you don’t know what to do because if you respond then you look like, okay, I want to talk to
you, but if you don’t respond, then you look like you’re not the bigger person. I personally have responded and then been
left on read by my ex and that wasn’t a good feeling I don’t really … yeah, I don’t talk to really
any of my exes. One of my exes Snap Chatted me last night
and it was weird. He was like, do you miss me? I was like, no. Like make me hate you. Like, make me not want to be with you. I don’t want to feel this way. I mean I guess time heals everything. You really can’t unlearn anything immediately. When I was writing that song, I thought that
I could. I was like, no just forget about it.
