How to Counter Front Leg Roundhouse Kick – Taekwondo Sparring – Sang H. Kim

Hello everyone. This is Master Sang H.
Kim. This tape is the second part of the Advanced Sparring Series. Technique number one is rear foot back step and front foot roundhouse kick to
the trunk at closed stance against front leg
attack. The Korean term is Dwibal Pajo Apbal Momtong Dollyo Chagi. Dwibal is rear foot. Pajo is step back. Apbal means front foot Momtong is trunk. Dollyo Chagi is roundhouse kick. The first step is to read your opponent’s
initiative and move out your rear foot backward as soon as you can. The second step is to counter-attack with your front foot as soon as he finishes reaching out his leg. The primary target is the middle section. In competition you must be flexible enough to use either leg according to the
situation and don’t cross your leg while you do back step unless you are good at
it.
