Cardio Kickboxing Exercises & Tips : Types of Gloves for Kickboxing


My name is Chemin Alldredge. I’m a 2nd degree
Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do. I’m here with Expert Village and today we’ll be going over beginner
cardio kickboxing. Alright, we’re going to go over equipment. It’s very important that
you have the proper equipment when doing cadio kickboxing so you make sure you don’t injure
yourselves. The first pair of gloves that we are going to go over are beginner gloves.
These are foam padded gloves with a plastic covering over them. You’re thumb just right
in and then you put your two top fingers in there and then you just wrap it around your
wrist and these are great because they have lots of padding there. The second pair of
gloves that we are going to go over is our intermediate gloves. These are nice because
they give you a little bit more freedom with your gloves. All it does is secure all 4 of
your fingers and then your thumb has leeway to move. And then it just wraps around. This
has a nice padding but a little bit more advanced and you have more thumb movement with these
gloves. My last pair of gloves, these are my advanced gloves. I like using these ones
because these are complete leather. They have slots for all 5 of your fingers to go in.
It has a nice bar for you to grip on when you’re punching. And then you can warp it
as tight as you want around or as loose as you want around your wrist so you don’t damage
your wrist. It has nice firm padding on the top. If you are going to plan on doing cardio
kickboxing I would recommend these ones but the intermediate gloves would probably be
your best shot.
